Know When You Can Apply

You have a 7-month Medicare Initial Enrollment Period which starts 3 months before your 65th birthday month, includes your birthday month, and ends 3 months after.

Example: If your birthday is in July, you can apply starting April 1st. Your enrollment window ends October 31st

You MAY be automatically enrolled if you are already receive Social Security retirement benefits or Railroad Retirement benefits
