Medicare Advantage
When you become eligible for Medicare, the government gives you two main ways to get your coverage: Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage
This is also called Part C.
Think of Medicare Advantage as an all-in-one managed Medicare health plan.
These plans are required to cover everything Original Medicare covers, therefore combining Part A and Part B. These plans also provide a low monthly premium and an out-of-pocket max to protect you financially. Many plans also include extra benefits that Original Medicare does not provide. Depending on the plan and county, benefits may include:
- Prescription drugs (Part D)
- Dental coverage
- Vision exams and glasses
- Hearing aids
- Gym memberships
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Over-the-counter allowances
- Grocery or healthy food cards
- Telehealth services
